How could I forget that I had this dress in the closet!? It's a little bit big, but the darts have been altered, and I believe it will be easy to fix. The band at the bottom of the full circle skirt is a part of the hem, so I'll hem it in place. The dress has the label Marlice de Paris Couture, and a search on Google gave only one hit. Anyone of you know anything? Now I just have to find an opportunity...

I also wonder what these pieces of fabrics sewn onto the lining of the dress. There's two on each side at hip level, so it doesn't really look like a repair. On the right side there's corresponding pieces of lace fabric (very discreet and neatly done).

Marlice de Paris was The Trade mark of my grandfather Mario Molho de Almosnino. This Trade Mark was The contraction of Mario and Alice, The surnames of my grandfathers. Mario Molho de Almosnino was producing perfumes and was a REAL Estate developer. Amont diffrent things, he built One of The marvolous building of The Champs Elysees in Paris with Martini terrasse. Your dress should have been Made in The end of The 50's.
